The album is a result of a collaboration with Frontiers Music Srl, who helped BLUE ÖYSTER CULT bring these long-forgotten songs to life. Thanks to the band's original audio engineer, George Geranios, who preserved the songs on analog tape and modern AI and musical magic, these songs were de-mixed, re-mixed, and produced by Steve Schenck and Richie Castellano. 'So Supernatural,' the album's single, has already been released, and fans eagerly anticipate the band's upcoming 2024 shows, where they'll showcase some of the songs from 'Ghost Stories.' The album also features the only recorded performance of their concert classic "Kick Out the Jams" (MC5 cover).
The album was completed by Richie Castellano and the remaining original members, Eric Bloom and Donald "Buck Dharma" Roeser. All these original lineup members on 'Ghost Stories' create a musical journey that spans decades and has surprises galore.
