Boys Like Girls' live debut of new aingle captivates fans: Remix of 'Miracle' surprises even the most die-hard pop punk enthusiasts

I remember when I first heard about this single live. Lead singer, Martin, introduced it to the crowd in Madison at The Sylvee the night before its official release to streaming platforms. He taught us the chorus to the song so that we could sing along with the band. It was so incredibly catchy, it played on repeat for at least a week after that night. It was a single from their most recent album drop (Sundays At Foxwoods) and out of all of the songs, it’s still my favorite.

This all being said, I’m not usually a fan of remixes. As a very loyal pop punk/emo/midwest emo fan, EDM just isn’t my calling. However, this remix of their song Miracle by Trave is very good. For the original sound being remixed like this, it works. I don’t actually know how or why, but it does. Is the original still better? Yes. But, I am more inclined sometimes to want to listen to this remix when I’m in the mood for a different sound.

If you want to hear the song, not the remix (I’m assuming) live this fall, catch Boys Like Girls this fall. They’re hitting the road with Dashboard Confessional and Taylor Acorn. It’s a phenomenal lineup that unfortunately breaks my heart to say, I will be missing it. I need someone else to go for me and report back on how amazing it was.
