On April 6, 1999, Buckcherry dropped their self-titled debut album. Lead singer, Josh Todd, is ready to celebrate all month long with fans. He will be taking us back to 1999 with the stories behind his writing, music, and so much more!

With hit songs like "Lit Up", "For The Movies" and my personal favorite "Check Your Head", the album has sold over 1,000,000 copies worldwide. The album was certified Gold by both the RIAA and Canada, making it the label's first Gold album.
The biggest hit off the self titled album was "Lit Up." It reached #1 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Tracks for three weeks straight. The song did have its far taste of controversy, due to it being about drugs. This led to some issues when it came to broadcasting the music video. However, that didn't stop it from becoming one of the most popular rock songs of the era. It has nearly 70 million streams on Spotify and 23 million views on YouTube.
Buckcherry was one of many bands that I listened to growing up. I can't wait to hear the stories behind the songs on this album. Are you a fan of the band? What are you hoping to learn during this celebration?
Keep up with the anniversary on the bands social accounts! They also have a list of shows coming up, don't miss out!
