Forming in Richmond Kentucky in 1963, Exile has been making music for 60 years. They achieved mainstream success in 1978 with "Kiss You All Over", a number-one single on the Billboard 100. The band would transition into Country just a couple of years later. Between 1983 and 1987, Exile had ten number-one singles on the Country charts.
After disbanding in the late '80s, Exile came back together in 2008. The band has continued to tour and record new songs ever since. Their most recent release was "A Millon Miles Later". This is the band's first album with original music in 30 years! The album is available to stream here: https://onerpm.link/amml_exile
The band was featured in two KET productions this past weekend. Exile: 60 Years of Music and Exile: Live in Concert.
The first production dove into the band's history. It discussed the tragedies and triumphs of the band. Not only that, but it also showed how the members stayed true to each other, and their music. We saw rare photos and home videos from 50 years ago. A documentary 60 years in the making.
Exile: Live in Concert is just what you'd expect from the title. Recorded in November 2023 at the Renfro Valley Entertainment Center, it celebrates the 60th anniversary of Exile. It featured hits like “Kiss You All Over,” “Keep It in the Middle of the Road,” “She’s a Miracle,” “It’ll Be Me,” “Give Me One More Chance” and more.
You can find Exile on all social media outlets, as well as major streaming services.
