Gold Steps delights fans with dynamic set at Third Space Brewing’s Summer Music Series: New songs, Paramore tribute, and more!

And I’m back at Third Space Brewing for another local lineup for the summer music series. This week the featured band is none other than Gold Steps. I missed the first half hour of the set unfortunately. Thankfully I didn’t miss anything too important. Due to the rainy weather all day, this set was inside unlike last week when it was outside. I’ve seen them over twenty times now. They’re one of my favorite Milwaukee bands to support. Back story, they originally are from Texas and then moved up North for a new start.

Anyways, this was a special set that night. They had three mini sets planned for the two hour limit. They played their own music and then did a mini Paramore cover tribute. I personally love covers and I think when the audience isn’t super familiar with the band, it really gets them immersed. They then played their own stuff again introducing two new AND unreleased songs. I am very excited and cannot wait for them to be recorded so I can listen to them again. I know one of them was called "Jealousy" and I can’t remember the name of the other song, oops! I think it had the word Ghost in it or something? Oh well, I hope it gets released soon haha.

They announced they’ll be in Madison later this Fall at the Majestic Theatre. This show has not been officially announced yet so don’t hold me to it completely. I just know that as long as I’m not busy, I’ll be there. Otherwise, I know they’re opening for Calling All Captains on September 25 at the legendary X-Ray Arcade in Cudahy.

The summer music series isn’t over yet. Be sure to check their Instagram at thirdspacebrewing for more details.
