At the Crystal Ballroom in Somerville, Massachusetts, on June 8, GSOUL sang with his heart and soul as he blended his Korean and English releases with heartfelt passion.
Oisín, an artist from Ireland started the night off with his powerful and heartwrenching vocals which instantly captured the audience's attention. His setlist included “Summer” his newest release and many unreleased powerful tracks.
Following suit was Jay Kent, an artist from the Philippines. She performed “Texting” the most recent release of her discography and a soulful cover of “If I Ain’t Got You" by Alicia Keys while also highlighting themes of love in her songs for Pride Month.
Ethan Low, a fan favorite, gave off a different vibe from the other openers, he had the audience up and jumping during his set. He sang “Bubbly” and “Unrequited” along with his showstopping and crowd-pleasing cover of “Confident” by Justin Bieber.
Anticipation rose as fans eagerly awaited GSOUL, a Korean American artist, the venue was filled with cheers as they chanted the artist's name. Fans of GSOUL were filled with excitement as they had waited two years for him to come back and do another North American tour. Known for his captivating vocals, GSOUL kicked off with the Korean hit "Bad Habit," infusing the intimate space with electrifying energy. Even though the Crystal Ballroom is not a huge venue, the energy and excitement from both the audience and GSOUL made it feel full. Interacting seamlessly with the crowd, he kept them engaged with surprises, leading up to the premiere of his latest track "Window Pane," which was met with enthusiasm from the audience as they sang loudly and enthusiastically to the song that was only released a couple of days before the tour started.
As the concert came to a close, GSOUL came back with an amazing encore performance. He sang “Need You,” “Found You,” “Love Me Again,” and an amazing cover of “Best Part” by Daniel Caesar. He then left the stage and as the audience started to leave, reminiscing about his performance, he came back out on stage and gave the audience another performance of his new single “Window Pane.” GSOUL's triumphant return after two years highlighted his ability to deliver captivating performances, serving as a testament to his enduring appeal.
