Blue Grape Music is proud to announce the addition of Florida-based deathcore band HEAVY//HITTER to its roster. The Orlando quartet—comprising Austin Hayes on vocals, Dane Loeprich on guitar, Chris Perez on bass, and Josh Archeval on drums—will release their upcoming EP, Moments of Misery, on November 8. Known for their punishing sound and raw energy, HEAVY//HITTER is ready to make a significant impact with this new release, which promises to be filled with crushing riffs, intense vocals, and hard-hitting themes. Fans can pre-order the EP now in anticipation of its release.

Alongside the announcement, the band has unveiled the music video for their latest single, "No Mercy, No Remorse." The track is a fierce, mosh-ready anthem, brimming with aggression and defiance. According to frontman Austin Hayes, the song is a revenge-fueled narrative about betrayal. "It’s a revenge song about getting back at someone who stabbed you in the back," Hayes explains. "You have no mercy or remorse in the end. You’re willing to take everything that’s been taken from you." The video, available now, perfectly captures the intensity of the track, showcasing the band’s dynamic stage presence and raw energy.

Moments of Misery marks an important moment in HEAVY//HITTER’s evolution. Since forming in 2019, the band has steadily built a reputation for their unapologetic sound and fierce dedication to their music. Their 2021 release, Street Violence, helped them gain attention in the underground metal scene, with media outlets like Lambgoat and Lawnchair Youth recognizing the band’s potential. Their relentless work ethic and explosive live performances soon caught the eye of Blue Grape Music, leading to their recent signing.

The band’s journey to success is one marked by perseverance and passion. Hayes reflects on his personal path, sharing, "Before I started this band, I quit music for five years. I tried to go to college. I was a general manager at Domino's Pizza. I did construction. Nothing was fulfilling, so I got back into music and started HEAVY//HITTER with Dane. I just never gave up on this band. We always want more, and we’re not going to stop." This dedication is evident in the energy they bring to every project and performance, pushing them forward even in the face of obstacles.

For the recording of Moments of Misery, the band decamped to Los Angeles, working with producer Austin Coupe. Drawing inspiration from the likes of Suicide Silence, Knocked Loose, and Carnifex, HEAVY//HITTER crafted an EP that blends the raw brutality of classic deathcore with modern hardcore and metalcore elements. Hayes emphasizes that the band aimed to create music that was authentic and emotionally charged. "When you listen to us, I hope you feel the emotion we put into the record. That’s what music is about. We’re not a machine. We’re human and honest."

This level of authenticity is what sets HEAVY//HITTER apart. Their music is not just about delivering crushing breakdowns or aggressive vocals—it’s about creating an emotional connection with their audience. Through the raw intensity of their sound, the band conveys real emotion, whether it’s anger, frustration, or defiance. Their honest approach to their music resonates deeply with fans, and it’s clear that HEAVY//HITTER is poised to become a major force in the metal scene.

As the release date forMoments of Misery approaches, HEAVY//HITTER is preparing to hit the road for a fall tour, including headlining dates and a support slot alongside Carnifex and Cryptopsy. Fans can expect a live experience that matches the intensity of their recorded work, as the band’s reputation for powerful performances continues to grow.

In every aspect of their music and their career, HEAVY//HITTER is committed to staying real and staying driven. Their journey from underground upstarts to a band on the rise is a testament to their unwavering dedication, and Moments of Misery promises to be another important step in their evolution as artists. For fans of deathcore, hardcore, and metalcore, HEAVY//HITTER is a band that demands attention, and their upcoming release is one that should not be missed.
