Once upon a time, there was a 12-year-old rockstar who took over the internet with her killer vocals and captured the hearts of millions on America's Got Talent. Her name? HARPER. And boy, does this pint-sized powerhouse pack a punch!

The world first caught wind of HARPER when she blew up the internet with her one-take cover of Spiritbox's "Holy Roller" in the summer of 2021. The video went viral, racking up over 292,000 views on YouTube and earning praise from music critics at Kerrang!, Metal Hammer, Loudwire, Rock Sound, and Revolver. Not content with just conquering the internet, HARPER went on to audition for America's Got Talent with the same song, wowing the judges and a live audience of 4000 with her impressive vocal range.

But HARPER didn't stop there. She went on to release her debut single, "Falling," in 2022, which amassed over 827,000 streams on Spotify and 502,000 views on YouTube. Not too shabby for a young'un just starting out in the biz!

Fast forward to today, and HARPER has just released another banger of a single, "I Hope You Choke," which is sure to get your head banging and your feet tapping. This time around, HARPER teamed up with Leo Valeri, guitarist/producer of deathcore heavyweights Brand of Sacrifice, to write the song. And if that wasn't enough, the track features a guest vocal from Dave Stephens of We Came As Romans. Talk about a dream team!

But let's get down to brass tacks. What's the song like, you ask? Well, let me tell you, it's a metalcore masterpiece. The opening riff is heavy as hell, and HARPER's vocals soar above it all, alternating between clean singing and guttural screams. The chorus is catchy as all get out, with HARPER belting out the lyrics, "Tear me to pieces and trade me for parts 'Cause in the end this all gets too much," over a thundering drumbeat and chugging guitars. It's the kind of song that gets stuck in your head and refuses to let go.

And the music video? It's a trip, to say the least. If you're looking to feel empowered and angry at the same time - look no further. The video showcases Harper in different outfits and settings as she sings with a rebellious attitude directly to the camera. "I Hope You Choke" is a catchy and therapeutic anthem for those who have been hurt by someone they once loved.

All in all, "I Hope You Choke" is a killer track from a rising star in the rock world. HARPER's talent is undeniable, and it's exciting to think about what she'll come up with next. If you're a fan of metalcore, make sure to give this song a listen - you won't regret it!
