On July 29, 2024, Shannon K released her newest single "9 to 5" with her father Kumar Sanu to create something representative of the corporate world and how much it impacts those who work tirelessly. Once I saw the song title was "9 to 5," I automatically knew what this was about and that the working man deserves to know life besides his corporate job. This song is explaining that it's time to be free and to truly find oneself and your passions. If you are a working man who works a 9 to 5 job and basically doesn't have a life outside of that job; this song is for you. It's time to move from that obstacle and continue life learning more about yourself and that there are better opportunities out there for you! I don't work a corporate job, but I do work healthcare and sometimes I work 12 hour days and it's constantly the same thing everyday. Burnout is truly real and anyone who works a job that impacts your mental health, understand how hard it is to have a life outside of work.
