Metalachi hails from Los Angeles, California, a five member classically trained Mariachi
musicians. Using a twist of Hark Rock and mix of Mariachi Mexican flair the band soon
were traveling North America from Mexico to Canada turning metal classic like Guns and Roses, Bon Jovi, and Slayer into a creative new style called Metalachi.
Starting off the night with "Highway to Hell" and "Welcome to the Jungle" the band got the
crowd jumping. Vocalist Vega De La Rockha’s vocal range can adapt to any song. Backed by Paco Halen on guitar, Diablo Huero on trumpet, Kiko Cane on guitarron, and the amazing violinist Queen Kyla. Halfway through the performance De La Rockha felt they should allow one of the members of the band to have a solo, Queen Kyla takes the challenge and for over 15 minutes wows the audiences with a tour of classic, to rock, to Mariachi violin melodies that raised the roof. The crowd went wild as she continued to play, ending the song with the whole band playing and the crowd cheering. Each band member had their opportunity to shine through out the night, as they showed off their talent, bringing the crowd to a loud chant at the end of an encore which the band ran back on stage willing to bring the audience what it wanted, more great music.
In between songs the five all joked and laughed at themselves about their Mexican
heritage, and their music, entertaining the crowd with outlandish stories that
always wound up leading up to the next song, as each song started the crowd sang
along, danced and jumped to the music. It is obvious they are not your typical
cover band; they bring to the stage a new energy unmatched by any other band.
