On February 23rd, The Word Alive share their massive version of League of Legends Track "Rise". A raging remake of League of Legends' "Rise" will be released by The Word Alive on February 23 via Thriller Records. A total of 440 million streams have been generated by League Of Legends, The Word Alive, Mako, and Glitch Mob combined. 'Rise' is the first new music TWA has released since August, 2023, when their album Hard Reset was released.

“The Word Alive are the sort of band that will always take you by surprise. With a career that spans from the most emotional of pop to the most crushing of metalcore, every step is an adventure. And with their latest chapter, that isn’t looking to change. Kicking off the year with the release of “New Reality”, which followed up last year’s drop “Nocturnal Future”, they have shared another new track. And it goes in.”

There are 180 million active players in League Of Legends, making it the most played and watched video game of all time. In Seoul, South Korea, Riot Games hosts League Of Legends World and other large annual events. As an accumulation of each season, this event is a world championship tournament. Each year, they have an official Championship theme song, a ‘World's Anthem’, hence the original "RISE" release in 2018. Previous collabs include Imagine Dragons, Lil Nas X, Against The Current and PVRIS.

"Back in 2018 I received an email asking if I had any interest in working with Riot Games Music to help create the 2018 League Of Legends Worlds Anthem. Little did I know that email would change my life, and lead to some of the most amazing friendships and career defining moments of my life. Rise became the second biggest worlds anthem in esports history, and a staple amongst not just gamers but music fans world wide. I’m honored to play a role in Rise, but we were always asked over the years if we would make “our own” version. With the 5 year anniversary we decided to go into the studio and give fans exactly what they’ve asked for as a thank you for all of the amazing memories. I hope you enjoy our Rise Redux!"

-Telle Smith (vocals)

The brand new release from The Word Alive has definitely caught the attention to those who enjoy the video game League of Legends. The band has done such a phenomenal job at having the capability to create such a well-known anthem. Back in 2018 at the Riot Games' 2018 World Championship in Incheon, Korea, the spotlight during the live performance of 'Rise' shined mainly on Smith. It is so beautiful seeing how dedicated this band was and in celebration of the five year anniversary of the game, the band curated their own version of the song. This new release has to be one of the best releases as of 2024 with Smith showcasing his talents in his clean vocals, accompanied by some brutal screams.

A highly anticipated 7th studio album by The Word Alive, Hard Reset, was released on August 27, 2023 by Thriller Records. Their total streams have exceeded 1 billion.
