Music lovers in Salt Lake City are in for a treat this fall. S&S Presents has announced a brand-new festival, Love Letters, set to take place from September 27-29 at Library Square. This three-day event promises to be a significant addition to the city's cultural calendar, bringing together a stellar lineup of pop and indie artists.

The lineup, revealed earlier this week, featured an exciting mix of artists. Headliners include the serenade-singer Joji, the heartfelt singer-songwriter QUINN XCII, and the energetic rapper Ashnikko. These artists, alongside a host of other pop and indie musicians, are set to create an unforgettable weekend of music.
In addition to the headliners, the festival will showcase a range of emerging and established talents. This includes local talents such as Provo-based Goldmyth, who shared their excitement about the festival. "It's exciting because they've done such a good job with Kilby Block Party, and to have another big festival in Salt Lake City that's orientated towards indie pop is huge, she said.
Three-day passes are currently available as of May 2024, with General Admission tickets priced at $189, while VIP passes are available for $329. If you'd rather opt for a single day pass, they are offered at an affordable price of only $69 before fees and taxes, as well as single-day VIP passes for $129, with a special promotion for group orders.

The Love Letters Festival aims to create an intimate and memorable experience for attendees. A specially curated Spotify playlist featuring songs from each artist on the lineup has already been curated, allowing fans to get into the festival spirit ahead of itme.
Managing director of S&S Presents, Nic Smith, emphasized the festivals goal of creating a new community through music. "We are excited to see if this lineup resonates with fans here in Utah. We put a good amount of research into curating a weekend for those who are fans of this genre," he said. "We want to give these folks a new community through this music and hopefully give them a great experience."
S&S Presents is no stranger to organizing successful music events. The company is also behind the popular Kilby Block Party, which started as a small gathering and has grown significantly over the years. Their other notable events include the Ogden Twilight and Star Lake Twilight concert series, which have successfully blended national and local talent to create unique music experiences.
"We have also hosted events in Library Square before (such as Kilby Block Party in 2022), so we are confident in our ability to do right by these incredible performers and host a memorable weekend for everyone who attends," Smith said.
The Love Letters Festival is not just about big names; it also aims to celebrate local talent. Local jazz and pop singer Detzany and the group future.exboyfriend are among the performers, bringing a strong presence to the festival. Detzany is particularly thrilled about seeing her friends and other notable artists perform. "I think the festival is such an awesome idea. I’ve never performed at Library Square, but I’m looking forward to seeing what the vibes are!" she said.
Cherry Thomas, a local vocal powerhouse and jazz guitarist, also shared her excitement. "Honestly, I’m most excited to see all of my fellow artist besties perform and spend the weekend with them. I have a lot of pals on this bill with me and it’s going to be so special to share it with all of them!" she said. "Quite fitting for the Love Letters fest."
As the festival dates draw near, anticipation is building among both artists and fans. With its diverse lineup and focus on community, Love Letters Festival 2024 is set to be a heartfelt and unforgettable celebration of music, art, and connection in Salt Lake City.
