This next week El Paso, Texas, is not sure what is coming to their city. We have all the top bands coming through the city and packing the bars and arenas. Well, I am not sure they are

expecting the zany, madcap fun that Lowbrow Palace will be hosting. On Sunday August18,

Mac Sabbath will hit the stage. They are a full stage production with oversized costumes and crazy antics along with killer parody lyrics of Black Sabbath songs.

Starting out in the basement of a food establishment in a hidden location of Los Angeles

they entertained their friends, coworkers and family. Manager Mike Odd told me he was

happily performing in his own band and one night he was talked into come to the basement of this restaurant. As he entered, he found himself sucked into a world of Black Sabbath

parodies centering around lyricism and imagery relating to fast food. They were addressing areas such as fast food's negative health effects and lack of nutritional value as

well as genetically modified food, consumerism, and low wages in the fast-food restaurant

market. Odd was hooked on their energy and performance and decided he would take

them on as their manager, thinking well, this will be fun for a few shows maybe a year. This

year, the band is entering their 10th year of performing.

All the members of the band are established musicians and Odd saw they had the

musician talent to entertain people young and old. They played a few clubs and even

performed for an Elementary school as part of a Halloween festival, they were totally

accepted by the school and the kids. After performing at the Longview Beach Zombie Walk,

they got noticed by local media and Fox TV, things have taken off from there.

Before long they found themselves touring with national bands in major cities, by 2015, they

were invited to perform at the Download Festival in Leicestershire, England, after returning

to the U.S. they have been touring from coast to coast and have released two videos. They have demonstrated their professionalism and quality of musical talent; their comedic performance and music talent makes them a show not to miss.

In an interview, Odd informed me that the tour, which starts on August 14,

is going to be full of new antics, new and old songs and entertaining new characters; who knows what will happen on this 10-year anniversary tour? Touring with them is the Tejon Street Corner Thieves and Spaceman Bob. So, if you're going to be in the El Paso, Texas, area on August 18, you should come to the Lowbrow Palace and catch this very entertaining group. I will be there to capture the night so look forward to a follow up to this article. You can purchase tickets and get updates on their tour at the following link.
