GRAMMY Award-winning, chart-topper Meghan Trainor is set to release a Deluxe Edition of her acclaimed sixth album, Timeless, on August 16, 2024.
Since its release on June 7, 2024, Timeless has garnered attention for its unique blend of old-school styles and modern production elements, showcasing Meghan Trainor's signature sound of layered harmonies. On The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Trainor shared the inspiration behind the album: “You know when you have babies and you’re like, ‘Oh no, I have to live forever!’… I have this crazy fear now that I will not live forever… So I wish I was timeless. I hope to write music that is timeless too, that can be played in hundreds of years so my great-great-grandkids can be like, ‘Did you hear this bop?’”
The album features tracks like “Bestie” and “I Wanna Thank Me (feat. Niecy Nash)” that emphasize empowerment and self-love, consistent themes throughout Trainor's catalog. The Associated Press praised the album for its mature empowerment messages, noting Trainor's evolution as a mother and industry veteran. Rolling Stone highlighted “Whoops” as a standout track with its "pop-doo-wop" vibe. Timeless also includes guest appearances from artists like T-Pain on “Been Like This” and “Love on Hold,” and the pop-soul sibling duo Lawrence on “Crushin’.”
The Deluxe Edition of the album will have added tracks, including “Make A Move,” which Trainor has been teasing on her socials. Reflecting on the new additions to the album, Trainor mentioned, “I’ve been saving these songs for a minute now. The deluxe album is the perfect way to get the recognition that they deserved. I can’t wait to sing them with everybody on the road next month!”
Following the release of the Deluxe Edition of her album, Trainor will embark on her first headline tour in seven years. The "Timeless Tour," produced by Live Nation, will kick off on September 1, 2024, in Hollywood, FL. The 26-show run will include stops at iconic venues such as Madison Square Garden in New York and Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, CO, before ending at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, CA, on October 19.
Joining Trainor on tour are fellow pop powerhouse Natasha Bedingfield, who will support select dates in NYC, Denver, and Los Angeles, and rising star Paul Russell, known for his hit “Lil Boo Thing,” who will support the entire tour. Special guests include Trainor’s best friend Chris Olsen and her older brother Ryan Trainor, who are set to bring their charisma and humor to the stage.
Fans can look forward to hearing new tracks from Timeless along with classic hits from Trainor’s extensive catalog on the tour. Tickets are available now at Meghan-Trainor.com.
