The summer is technically coming to an end super soon but that doesn’t mean the concerts are done. A handful of bars in the Milwaukee area team up with the local music scene to showcase them on different days of the week. Third Space Brewing happens to be the spot for me this year but because just this past Thursday on August 8, I was there to catch Lake Drive and The Keystones. Double lineup! Woah!
The Keystones kicked off the night playing some of my favorites as well as new songs! It had been a hot second since they played their single, Chameleon. No, I’m not that biased on naming it my favorite since I’m also in the music video for it haha. Maybe a little. It was at a house Halloween party and it was super cool. The Keystones used to be four people and they changed to a trio last year. They’re one of the earlier local bands I discovered and really fell in love with. If you’re around Milwaukee on September 7, they’re teamed up with three other local bands for an all local lineup extravaganza at The Rave, tickets on sale now, go check it out!
To close the stage was Lake Drive. I recently found them earlier this year and had been wanting to see them. I then found out I work with half the band in one of my places of employment and made it a mission to get to their set at Summerfest. They bought in a huge crowd that day, it was insane. They recently dropped a new single and music video to a song called ur so funny. In honor of that music video, lead vocalist Rayvn sported the makeup from the filming at the show tonight. The crowd loved them at summerfest and they were shown a lot of love that night.
Oh, and Ian’s Pizza was there that night so you could enjoy some good beers with a slice of pizza at the show. What more could you ask for? It was a beautiful night with amazing music on a Thursday. 10/10 would absolutely recommend attending.
Stay tuned to see who I catch at the next one this Thursday, they’re one of my absolute favorites.
