The Australian singer and actress Kylie Minogue joins forces with American singer Bebe Rexha and Swedish singer-songwriter Tove Lo to release the new song "My Oh My." The trio teased the collaboration on Instagram with a very short video of Bebe and Tove standing in a lift and Kylie saying “hi.” A simple way of teasing a collaboration, but also very effective, with the video getting over eighty thousand likes.

If you’re unfamiliar with any of the singers don’t worry as they all say their names during the song but for a more detailed introduction to the singers, I’ll tell you some facts about them. I don’t think anyone needs an introduction to Kylie Minogue as she has such a long and successful career. Her music statistics are what other people only dream of with nine U.K. number 1 albums! Yes, she has nine which is pretty impressive. It isn’t just the U.K. where Kylie is popular, worldwide she has over 80 million record sales. Bebe Rexha, you might recognize her voice from songs like “In the Name of Love,” “Me, Myself & I,” and “I’m Good (Blue),” she also has some pretty great statistics. She has multiple Grammy nominations, has performed at places like Coachella, and is a multi-platinum artist.

Bebe isn’t the only one in this trio to be nominated for a Grammy, Kylie has actually won two Grammy's and Tove Lo has also been nominated for a Grammy as well as nominated for a Golden Globe. Tove has released music five of her own albums her debut being “Queen of the Clouds.” If you haven’t heard of her solo music I can assure you that you’ve heard of her collaboration before as she has an extensive list with names like Martin Garrix, Coldplay, Charli XCX, and countless others. Her collaboration doesn’t just stop at singers but also songwriting having written for artists like Zara Larsson and Lorde. So as you can see a very talented trio came together to make “My Oh My.”

Fans have been describing the song in many different ways online, I saw one fan refer to it as “such a 2010s club bop in the best way.” Another fan said, “Miss Minogue can do no wrong!” And another fan commented “What did we do to deserve this mother-off?! This is so fun and catchy!” Which is definitely high praise and shows how much they love the song. However, not all fans shared this opinion with a couple of fans commenting, “This is very unpleasant to my ears. Willing to give it time, but on first impressions, not good.” And another fan complaining saying “I’m a die-hard Kylie stan, but I got 56 seconds into it and had to turn it off.” but don’t let other people’s opinions sway you go and listen to the song yourself and see how you like it. It’s always a good idea to form your own opinions especially when it comes to something as artistic and creative as music. Let us know your thoughts about the song and would you like to see the trio collaborate again?
