Brooklyn Based indie rock band, Pan Arcadia, opened for The Bogmen at the famous Irving Plaza In NYC this past Thursday. The band kicked off the set with their song Deja Vu, which immediately the front row started jumping and dancing along to. The energy from the audience throughout their set was something unlike I have seen before at a show.
Pan Arcadia's performance at Irving Plaza was a show that if you did not know who they were before, you definitely would after hearing them play. After their set, they had created many new fans throughout the venue between the diverse crowd that had come out to see The Bogmen. They have such a unique sound and stage presence that immediately captured the audience's attention.
Their blend of classic acoustics mixed with brass instrumentals makes their sound engaging to anyone no matter what genre you are into. It was evident by their electrifying performance that they are one of the best new up-and-coming bands and their energetic presence on stage is such a nice refresher in live music today.
Like many others, I had discovered the band while just walking through Washington Square Park on a random Monday. I would have never thought that by stumbling across their set would lead me to discover one of my favorite bands. If you ever get the opportunity to see them live, take it. It is most definitely an unforgettable experience.
