San Jose collective Peace Tree Rascals have made a vibrant return with their new single, "Airplane Window." This latest offering comes on the heels of "Lately I," a track that Flaunt Magazine praised for evoking the heart-racing determination of a native romantic. Both songs set the stage for the upcoming North American tour, 'For You,' launching on June 3. Tickets are available for purchase now.
Staying true to their breezy West Coast sound, "Airplane Window" immerses listeners in a "sun-soaked world," characterized by hazy synth keyboards that a cocoon of warmth. This new single follows a string of recent releases including "HIGHWITCHA," "Rendezvous," and a collection with AG Club titled "COLD OUTSIDE." Together, these tracks signal a new era for Peach Tree Rascals, who are returning to the spotlight after a two-year hiatus since their 2022 EP, End of Time.
Comprised of vocalists Pech, Pizano, Joseph Barros, Tarrek, Abdel-Kahliq, and their creative director Jorge Olazba, Peach Tree Rascals started as a group of friends making music as an escape from the monotony of college life and as a reflection of their experiences as second-generation immigrant Americans. They first gained major recognition with their viral hit "Mariposa" on TikTok in 2020, which was featured in over 1.6 million videos and reached number 1 on the Billboard Indie chart. Their subsequent EPs, Camp Nowhere (2021) and End of Time (2022), helped them build an international fan base and led to extensive tours across Europe and Asia.
The collective took a step back from music to grow and reflect on their journey, focusing on how to build on their early success independently. Now, reinvigorated, they are set to release a new collection of pop tunes this summer and hit the road for their 'For You' tour. The tour kicks off on June 3 in Seattle and spans 19 dates across North America, featuring Monét Ngo and FIG as supporting acts. Highlights include stops in Austin, Atlanta, Brooklyn, Toronto, and a concluding show in Los Angeles' El Rey Theatre.
