When people are lined up two hours before a show, you know you’re in for a treat! And for the second night in a row, this show delivered! The supporting acts, Wiltwither and House and Home, got the party started with high octane performances that got everyone going, each even dedicating songs to the headliner, August Burns Red. If you haven’t already, go check out these awesome bands!
As expected, August Burns Red absolutely pulverized this sold-out crowd with a powerful metal performance! Once they took the stage, you could almost feel the building shake. The energy they, and front man Jake Luhrs, put out was electric! Fans were crowd surfing, rocking the pit, and emptying their lungs with their heaviest metal screams. Crowd safety was even on their setlist, as they stopped the show to make sure everyone was rocking out safely so no one got hurt. I don’t recall ever being at show where everyone, and I mean everyone, was ringing the sweat from out of their clothes and hair. THAT’s how you know you had a heck of a night!
Thank you to Wiltwither, House and Home, and August Burns Red for bringing it at House of Independents! There is nothing like seeing a sold-out metal show in the legendary Asbury Park, NJ. I, like many others, cannot wait for the next one!
