This weekend, 152 Production’s Days of Summer Fest Orlando welcomed Duval County’s very own Southpaw FLHC. Southpaw FLHC is a hardcore band from Jacksonville, Florida, founded in 2020 by lead guitarist Alan King and lead vocalist Daryn LaMontagne after running into each other by chance at Alan’s then place of work. The name was developed soon after by mutual friend and drummer, Harrison Linder, in an attempt to create something with a “warrior” feel to it which definitely rings true. “Makes you feel good to be reached out to and asked to play something like that,” said Alan during our interview, “It means were doing something right and it just feels really good.” They played some of their hit songs like "Truth Be Told" and, my personal favorite, "Dead Weight." "Truth Be Told" is sitting at a little over 4 million streams across all major streaming platforms and was just one of many songs that really got majority of the crowd on their two-step game. If two stepping and moshing are your thing, Southpaw FLHC will be going on a short U.S. tour starting September 9 with Hoods, a Sacramento Hardcore band, for their Hot Box & Bass Drops tour. Dates, tickets, and merch for the tour can all be found using the labeled links below.
