On July 19, 2024, in Memphis Tennessee, Stax Museum of American Soul Music decided they wanted to raise music awareness by partnering up with the non-profit SoGiv which is a shoe design company! After partnering up, they decided to call the shoe Stax Music Academy!
The shoe design was inspired by the Stax Records building from the 70's! If you want to purchase a pair of these shoes for a wonderful cause; click the link here! The sizes range from women's 7 to men's 12! The shoe is red with the Stax Music Academy logo, piano keys, and musical notes!

Reading the site, I learned that the main mission of Stax Music Academy is to be able to enhance individuals academic, cognitive, and leadership skills by utilizing music! Since 2000, there has been over 4,000 graduates! This is mind blowing in my eyes because music is therapeutic for so many people and raising money to allow youths to be able to experience that and express themselves musically is something that is important to me.
"The Stax Music Academy shoe features the original Stax Records-inspired ceramic tile design taken from the entryway of the hit-making E. McLemore studio, located on the top panel design of the right shoe. Musical notes from Isaac Hayes’ "Wonderful" are positioned on the left shoe panel, accompanied by black and white piano key-inspired notes on the outside profile. In contrast, the inside profile features a three and two piano key design silhouette."
