The Ohio State Reformatory is opening its gates once again for a one-of-a-kind festival! Inkcarceration is back! With each year being bigger than the last, you definitely don’t want to miss this! Where else can you see your favorite band AND get a tattoo on the same day? That's right! You can visit a historic state prison, get a tattoo and see big names all in one day!
Some of you may think the prison looks a little familiar. Well, that's because it is the filming location of a pretty well-known movie, The Shawshank Redemption. The Ohio State Reformatory offers tours of the prison year-round. That includes during the festival! All Inkcarceration passes come with free admission for the tour. As well as free admission to the tattoo convention. Meaning there's plenty of fun for the whole family!
Debuting in 2018, this festival has been running for six years to date; each year bringing us big names! Pantera, Limp Bizkit, Lamb Of God, Blink-182, and that’s just to name a few! We haven't been graced with a full line up yet, but the festival did provide something to hold us over for the time being; Chimaira will be reuniting at this year's curation! This will be their first U.S. festival appearance in 14 years! The full line up will be announced sometime this winter alongside a list of tattoo artists make appearances so make sure to keep up with the festival updates below! This can be a big deal for some bands, we expect to see fantastic names on this year's lineup. Who are you hoping to see?
This year’s festival starts July 19 and will run until July 21. Passes are still available on the site, but that won’t last long! Prices start at $199.99 for GA and span up to $479.99 for VIP. Now remember, this includes all 3 days so where these ticket prices may look scary to some, buying 3 day tickets will actually save you upwards to $50! The festival is also offering camping and hotel packages for those traveling into the area. Additionally, the festival does offer layaway options, so, why risk missing one of the biggest music festivals? This event has sold out in the past! Don’t miss your chance!
