As the summer season approaches, the renowned rock group, The Pretenders, are all set to embark on a US summer tour. The journey begins on July 13 at the historic Count Basie Center for the Arts in Red Bank, NJ, and will span until mid-August. “Presales begin Wednesday, March 20 at 10:00 am (local). All remaining tickets will be released to the general public on Friday, March 22 at 10:00 am (local)”.

The tour will also feature a series of stadium performances where they will join the Foo Fighters. These include shows at New York’s Citi Field, Cincinnati’s Great American Ball Park, Minneapolis’s Target Field, Denver’s Empower Field at Mile High, Los Angeles’s BMO Stadium, Portland’s Providence Park, and Seattle’s T-Mobile Park.

After their US tour, The Pretenders will then venture to Europe for a nearly sold-out EU/UK headline tour. This tour will take them to countries including Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Poland, France, and the United Kingdom, ending with a sold-out show at Manchester’s Bridgewater Hall on October 28.

This tour follows the release of The Pretenders’ acclaimed new studio album, Relentless. Available now via Rhino Records on standard black vinyl, limited edition baby pink vinyl, CD, and digital download, the album was produced by multiple Grammy Award-nominee David Wrench at the famed Battery Studios in Willesden, North West London. “Relentless marks the second consecutive full-length songwriting collaboration by founder Chrissie Hynde and Pretenders guitarist James Walbourne following 2020’s acclaimed Hate For Sale”.

The album features tracks such as “Losing My Sense Of Taste,” “A Love,” “Let The Sun Come In“ and the beautiful closing track, “I Think About You Daily,” which features composer Jonny Greenwood, who provides the string arrangement and conducted the 12 Ensemble for the recording.

Relentless has been met with critical acclaim worldwide. MOJO praised its “persistently brilliant songwriting…surely how Chrissie Hynde always wanted The Pretenders to sound.” Uncut declared it as “The new prime of Chrissie Hynde,” while Record Collector affirmed the collection in a five-star rave as quite simply “the best Pretenders album in 20 years”.
