With TX2 recently touring with Ice Nine Kills, it’s no surprise that they were featured on this new track. I wasn’t surprised anyway. When TX2 announced a huge band was involved, I had no doubt that it was lead singer Spencer Charnas or the whole band.
MAD (feat. Ice Nine Kills) dropped at midnight, on Wednesday, August 28. We got a little taste of the song a few months ago. This was before they even hinted at a featured artist. I fell for the song pretty instantly, even with just hearing the little snippets.
Much like other tracks he’s featured on, Spencer Charnas killed it once again! I swear, this man can do anything. We all remember Cotton Mouth right? Spencer just doesn’t disappoint. The way his words flow with Evan’s. The music is dark and heavy, but also upbeat. You can definitely feel Ice Nine in this song.
I think this mash up will bring more fans to TX2. I’ve seen many Ice Nine Kills fans that were upset to see TX2 attached to this latest tour, as well at Silver Scream Con. Some fans have come out and said that “TX2 actually wasn’t that bad." I know some weren’t excited to see this mash up, but I think it’s fair to just give it a listen. Even if you just wanted to listen to it as an INK fan. If you end up liking TX2 after listening to it, great. If you just like the song because Spencer is on it, that’s fine too.
TX2 is still touring with Ice Nine Kills and In This Moment at select dates on the Kiss Of Death Tour. They will also performing at Silver Scream Con this year.
