Acclaimed folk-pop singer-songwriter Yoke Lore, known for his distinctive blend of introspective lyrics and captivating melodies, has returned with his highly anticipated new single, "The Score." Released under his own label, Yell House Records, and distributed by Thirty Tigers, the track is now available for streaming and download. Fans have been eagerly awaiting this release, following a viral series of teases on social media that only heightened the excitement.

Accompanying the single is an official music video, which is already garnering attention for its striking visuals and thought-provoking narrative. Yoke Lore, the alter ego of Los Angeles-based multi-instrumentalist, dancer, and visual artist Adrian Galvin, delves deep into the emotional landscape of love, balance, and self-awareness in "The Score."
In discussing the inspiration behind the song, Yoke Lore explains, “Love as an orientation tool. Eyes like dials. As if a compass or a clock or a level. There is a physical awareness to the soothe of balance. Like how the body uses sickness to communicate danger. The heart will put up walls. But paradise is built with persistence. And passion is a way of living. The game is knowing where you are. Orientation over location. Because ignorance isn't bliss, it's ignorance. And love keeps the score.”
Yoke Lore will be celebrating the release of "The Score" with a major U.S. headline tour, "The Autumn Amble: An Introspective Spectacular." The tour kicks off on October 25 at the Goldfield Trading Post in Roseville, California, and will take him across the country to some of the most iconic music venues. Fans can look forward to experiencing not only "The Score" but also a wealth of new music that Yoke Lore is set to unveil. The tour will feature Runner as a special guest and includes notable stops at Denver's Ogden Theatre, Minneapolis' First Avenue, and Asbury Park's The Stone Pony, among others.
In addition to this headline tour, Yoke Lore will also perform at Briston Maroney's "Paradise (3rd Annual Festival) on November 15 at Brooklyn Bowl Nashville, further soldifying his place in the contemporary folk-pop scene.
Adrian Galvin, the man behind Yoke Lore, has been immerses in music and the arts from an early age. Growing up in a creatively rich and spiritually focused family in Katonah, New York, Galvin's artistic journey has been anything but ordinary. As a founding member of Walk The Moon, he co-wrote the hit single "Anna Sun," but his artistic expression didn't stop there. Galvin explored dance, co-founding the dance company Boomerang in the mid-2010s, before fully embracing his solo music career as Yoke Lore in 2016.
With his unique sound, characterized by the prominent use of the banjo and a raw, emotional intensity, Yoke Lore quickly garnered traction. His 2017 hit single "Beige" earned RIAA Gold certification and has since racked up millions of streams worldwide. Over the years, Galvin has continued to expand his artistic reach through a series of singles, EPs, collaborations, and film scores, amassing over 450 million streams globally.
Yoke Lore's debut full-length album, Towards a Never Ending New Beginning, released in 2023, showcased his evolution as an artist, blending thoughtful reflection with unfiltered honesty. This album transcends traditional songcraft and genre boundaries, presenting a deeply personal and intricately crafted artistic vision.
