Emerging queer pop sensation Zolita is back, heating up the sapphic summer with her latest single, "Hypocrite," released today, August 21st. The track arrives on the heels of her critically acclaimed album Queen of Hearts and continues to solidify Zolita's place in the alt-pop landscape. "Hypocrite" captures the messy aftermath of a breakup, with Zolita candidly navigating the oush and pull of new flings and lingering jealously.

Known for her deeply personal lyrics and infectious pop-punk sound, Zolita delivers another anthem for heartbreak playlists with this single. Her signature hazy alt-pop shines through in "Hypocrite," with crunchy guitar riffs and razor-sharp vocals underscoring the raw emotion behind lines like, "I've been getting intimate with hot girls on the internet / Got no regrets / But I confess / If you're doing half the shit that I've been doing in my bed / I'd want you dead / Guess I'm a hypocrite."
Reflecting on the inspiration behind the track, Zolita shares, "I wrote 'Hypocrite' right after a brutal-long breakup. I spent that first month post-breakup getting under new girls to get over my ex, and when I heard she was seeing someone new, I had a meltdown. I wanted the chance to move on and sleep around, but I still wanted her to be hung up on me—I was a hypocrite! This song is a self call-out.”
In addition to the new single, Zolita has announced her upcoming "Queen of Hearts" tour, a 23-date headline run across the U.S., kicking off on September 13 in Santa Ana, California. The tour includes stops at iconic venues such as New York's Bowery Ballroom and Los Angeles' Troubadour, with tickets selling fast. Fans can expect Zolita's electrifying live performances, which have earned her a dedicated following and rave reviews.
